Bespoke ceremonies, designed to celebrate and honour life’s great milestones…

Hello, I’m Daisy, an independent family and funeral celebrant in the East of England. My ceremonies are:

Heartfelt

I take the time to indulge my curiosity and really get to know the people I work with. It’s not just nosiness! You can learn as much as you care to about me and together we will build a relationship based on trust and mutual understanding. When the day of your ceremony arrives, I will be telling a story that we are both deeply connected to. Whether I marry you, give you a name, welcome a new person to the world, bless or renew your vows, or help you say goodbye to a loved one, the words I’ll say will be as resonant and meaningful to me as they will be to you.

Unique

There are, in my experience, as many varieties of ceremony as there are flavours of people. I have many ideas (and opinions about what works and what’s naff) but am just as happy to let you drive and to take inspiration from all that tickles your fancy. It’s often helpful to use a familiar structure as starting off point - from here, if you can imagine it, we can create it! The “you-ness” of each ceremony is what makes it special - my gift as a celebrant is to align with your vision, collaborate at every step, and present it to your loved ones as something both familiar and inspiring. When guests leave the ceremony saying “that was SO YOU!” I know how Alessia Russo feels after scoring a goal for the Lionesses.

Our differences are what make us beautiful. I proudly welcome people from all communities and identities. My support for everyone’s right to a safe, joyful and authentic life is at the heart of my politics and my worldview and is therefore inseparable from my work as a celebrant. If you don’t support LGBTQIA+ communities, or feel that immigrants are threatening your access to wage security, we probably aren’t a great fit.

For everyone

When people gather in a space with intention, surrounded by love, often in their finery, and we conjure a particular quality of quiet awareness so that we may listen, there is a palpable change of energy. Carefully chosen words are spoken, calling upon, variably, the elements, nature, the cosmos, and each other, to witness promises, blessings, hello’s and goodbyes, and it is MAGICAL. Through acknowledging the significance of the moment and the people at the heart of the story, we elevate everyone in the room onto a deeper plane, just for a few moments, and together we stretch out our collective fingertips and connect to something sacred, timeless, both ancient and alive. It’s one of the things I love the most about being a celebrant and I can’t wait to share that with you.
